Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what Brigrads.com (Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India) collects, why, and how it is protected. It applies to the website, the student portal and the parent helper login.

1. What we collect

Account & profile: name (as on passport), email, phone, citizenship, date of birth, city/state, study preferences (countries, level, field, intake, budget), academic history, English test and score, work experience.
Family & financial (for applications you pursue): parent/guardian and sponsor details, income and bank-balance information, and the documents you upload (passport, marksheets, certificates, financial proofs).
Usage & security: login events, one-time codes, trusted-device tokens, and an audit trail of changes to your profile (previous value, new value, author, time).

2. Why we collect it

To assess your eligibility honestly, match universities, prepare your documents, track your applications, protect your account from tampering, and — where you ask us to — share your application with the universities you are applying to. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

3. Where it lives

Profile data is stored in our own database. Uploaded documents are stored in a dedicated per-student folder on our Google Drive workspace. Emails we send you travel through our email providers. Payment processing, when made online, is handled by the payment gateway — we do not store card numbers.

4. AI processing

Draft generation and GITA answers are produced using third-party AI APIs (such as Anthropic's Claude). Relevant profile fields are sent to these APIs solely to produce your roadmap, drafts or answers; they are not used by us to train models. Review every AI-generated document before use.

5. Who can see your data

You; your nominated parent/guardian (limited helper view); Brigrads staff strictly by role, behind mandatory two-factor authentication; and the universities you apply to (only your application materials, only for that purpose). Sensitive staff actions are audit-logged. Student, parent and staff sessions are cryptographically separated.

6. Protection against tampering

Your eligibility answers lock after assessment; identity fields lock once documents are generated; corrections require proof from your registered email (fixdata@brigrads.com); and every change is recorded in a history you can see in your portal. These measures protect you from impersonation and protect institutions from falsified profiles.

7. Cookies & sessions

We use essential cookies only: signed session cookies (student, parent, staff), a trusted-device token so you aren't asked for a code on every login, and no third-party advertising or analytics cookies. Emails we send universities may include an open-tracking pixel for outreach management.

8. Retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed for legal and accounting obligations. You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data (with proof, per section 6), or deletion of your account — write to fixdata@brigrads.com from your registered email. Where we must retain records (e.g. invoices, filed applications), we retain the minimum required.
